Kung Fu Fabulous!

So… as some of you know, Kung Fu Panda just recently came out on DVD. As some of you probably don’t know.. I bought it! Kung Fu Panda has to be one of my favorite recent animated movies, and definitely in my top five (of the animated flicks). The mix between beautiful animation and hilarious (and I truly mean outright hilarious!) comedy. I know, I know…main stream = bad! but seriously; this is Jack Black. I’m sorry but to deny at least watching a movie once that stars Jack Black is almost a sin.

Although maybe not ground breaking, and yes it’s probably a movie that was made to generate money, the relationship between character and actor is awesome. I love how well studios are able to capture their voice actors facial expressions and fit those into their animation. I know that this isn’t necessarily always a good thing, but in this case I believe it was much needed to make this movie great. Jack Black is obviously the main role playing Poe the Panda. Angelina Jolie, Jack Chan, Lucy Lui, Seth Rogen, and Dustin Hoffman all bring their voices to the table and breathe life into their characters and just make their characters fit so well. I’d dare say that they beat out Tim Allen and Buzzlight Year… yeah. That’ great.

So if you don’t mind supporting Hollywood for a minute, and really just want to see some good comedy and learn some new one liners that you know you’ll need next week at work; watch Kung Fu Panda. It’s awesome
