Please do not become this obsessed with video games…

When I first saw this I was dying laughing! It is absolutely ridiculous and for that reason it is hilarious! I have never seen anyone flip out that much over anything, let alone a video game. The fact that it was in german also made it extra funny to me because I don’t speak german so it sounded like gibberish to me. After I was done finding this video funny, I actually thought about this and realized how incredibly sad this is. How can kids get to this point. I know that this is obviously most likely a special case. I do not expect that there are this many kids around the world getting this into their games, but it does bring the whole issue to my attention. I know someone who is absolutely obsessed with online games such as runescape and world of warcraft. Spending the vast majority of your day sitting in front of a computer screen, battling with in a virtual world is silly. When you sit back and think about what you spent a solid year doing what can you show for it? A high score? A higher level, maybe your world rank is up more too. It is really not worth it and I think that video games should be recognized as something that can easily become an obsession and people should make sure that they regulate how much of their day they devote to them. Don’t get me wrong. I love video games. I love playing them and they can be really fun. Just remember it is just a game and PLEASE don’t EVER take a game as seriously as this boy.
