….i am not there…S&W
This movie was pretty interesting, I did however, like others have a hard time following it. There were points where I was thrown off from the plot and times where I kinda just watched a scene, having no clue what was happening, then just being content with the fact that I wasn’t going to get it all. So the movie itself was well done. The scenes were beautiful and well shot and the idea of portraying such a complex character as Bob Dylan with six different actors is really a brilliant idea. I think that the creators of this film went into it probably knowing that it wasn’t going to be crystal clear to viewers, and I think they meant to do that on purpose. I can’t imagine Bob Dylan’s life being very clear even to himself. All of the drugs and narcotics he got involved with helped to create that confusion. If I were to watch this film again I believe that I might understand a little bit more, and get more out of it, picking up on new things. Having watched the Bob Dylan documentary a few days ago definitely helped while watching this film. Knowing, slightly, the background of this singer and seeing Bob Dylan himself, acting as himself helped while watching other actors act as Dylan. I found it very interesting to learn, after the film was done, that the older man character portrayal was really kinda a sort of theme that people had interpreted throughout 3 albums. Bob Dylan’s lyrics are very deep and almost out of this world. I thought it was really great that this sort of realm was brought into his film because his music is part of him, making what he sings about apart of his life in a way. Overall… good movie, i liked it…
